I’ve been working on finishing up a stack of WIP’s I’ve had for a while…
.
It’s been fun to work on this quilt that I pieced together sometime last year…
.
.
I used Bonnie & Camille fabrics that I had saved. They’re so pretty and colorful!

This is a very easy pattern, and it comes together quickly!

The pattern I followed is called “Katie’s Quilt, by MissiouriQuiltCo.com

I’m so glad I chose a different background than the white I always use. It’s much more colorful and fun. Instead, I made the stars white, and the background a pretty shade of turquoise. I also love the patchwork look in the squares.

I finished to quilt top and now comes the hand quilting and then the binding.
If you have any suggestions for the hand quilting pattern, let me know.

It was such a quick and fun pattern to follow that I might just make one to keep. This one will probably be a gift.
Have a blessed Sunday!
Happy sewing,
Daisy

Who’s the hunk behind holding the quilt up.
Alfredo
Lol, you’re too funny! Thanks for holding the quilt for so long!
This is a very pretty flimsy, Daisy! No wonder that you want to make another for yourself! I look forward to seeing it finished. 🙂
wow! i love the color combinations!
Very lovely! I read a couple of weeks ago that knitters and quilters have been practicing for such a time as this. 😀
I’ve made. Two quilts in my life. The first was a baby quilt which I hand quilted with a giant circle hoop. The second was a wedding gift —double bed sized which I paid an Amish lady to quilt for me! It was a whole lot easier. But obviously, I don’t like hand sewing. Hope you find a way that suits.
Beautiful and so happy!
I hope you post pics of your hand quilting. I bet it will be lovely!
