It seems that my plants know that summer is ending and they have decided to bloom one last time before settling down for cooler weather. I can’t wait for fall and the coolness in the air, but as long as the flowers are blooming, I won’t complain about the weather.
Saturday is officially the first day of fall and from what I hear on the news, some of you are already experiencing it, while others are expectantly waiting for it.
Wherever you are, go outside if you can and enjoy the weather!
Have a terrific weekend,
Daisy
My geraniums decided to really go for it one more time. It was there best showing ever -and then the deer descended from the hills and ate most of them overnight. Oh well. It was lovely while it lasted -and the deer are happy.
Thanks for the reminded to get outside. I’m going to do that right now.
I’d like to have an herb garden and a vegetable garden when I move but I’ve heard the same thing you experienced from several people. I’ve been thinking whether to have a small fenced-in area to avoid the “critters” eating all of the bounty… I wonder if that would help?
Here’s a “their” and a “reminder” to replace the ones I didn’t edit before I hit post comment. (*cringe*)
In our town the deer fences need to be eight feet high. Unsightly things. Deer can really jump. Maybe we should train them to play basketball.
Ha! That’s funny! I guess the fence is not a good idea then?!
