There’s always opportunity for photography…
even in the rain . . .
This was taken with my cell phone from inside the car
while we were stuck in traffic, going through a major
University town.
I’m not officially a “professional” photographer,
but . . .
I’m usually looking at things as if through the lens of a camera.
Taking “snap shots” of whatever surroundings I find myself in.
And I have been doing that since I was a kid.
It’s wonderful that today, because so many of us have
phones that come equipped with a camera,
we can capture what normally would be missed.
Here’s the same scene a couple moments later:
We can see beauty even in the things we are
prone to complain about –
Traffic?
no problem!  — take photos.  🙂
There’s joy all around us.
Sometimes a change of perspective
(or attitude, in my case)
helps tremendously.
Go out and have fun seeing what’s
around you through a “professional”
photographer’s eyes (even if all you have
is a cell phone!)
A rainy night can become
a thing of beauty.
Happy Wednesday everybody 🙂
Love to you all,
Daisy
Daisy, your posts are always so encouraging! As I am sitting here, in my “world,” thinking about my own challenges, your post reminded me that God calls us, “…to be made new in the attitude of your minds” Ephesians 4:23.
Turning traffic jams in the middle of a downpour as a photo opp is brilliant! The old addage, “make lemonade when life gives you lemons” comes to mind. Thank you again for the reminder that even our challenges, when perceived through a different type of “lense” can become opportunities to rejoice.
Thank you for that comment. It meant a lot. 🙂
So glad you were encouraged!
I tried to do this one evening as we were stuck in traffic in the city and their were beautiful lights everywhere. Your photos came out much better than mine did, though. I think the rain helped!!! 🙂
If only we could remember this attitude all the time…
Haha, yes I think the rain actually helped.
Attitudes are so important – I tell myself that all the time, “Just keep it in perspective”. Sometimes I’m more successful than others. 🙂
Ack! there not their!
One thing I’m not good at putting in perspective is typos!
🙂
Cool pictures Daisy! You are so right about seeing the beauty through the camera lens instead of grumbling about the traffic! thanks.
Your phone is way better a camera than mine. LOL. I have to drag out the Nikon. When Paul and I traveled around in our 5th wheel, I was always snapping pictures out the window!
