This is a good, old-fashioned recipe…
My family loves it, and I wanted to share it with you.
If you don’t already have a good corn casserole recipe, try this one… You won’t be disappointed.
Here are the simple ingredients.
You can add a small can of jalapenos or green chilies if you want some heat in it.
Some recipes also call for grated cheddar cheese (I tried it, but even though I love cheese, I prefer this recipe).
Ingredients:
1 c sour cream
1 14 oz can corn, drained
1 14 oz can creamed corn
1/2 c butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix first 7 ingredients.
Pour into buttered 9″ square pan
(I use a slightly larger rectangle ceramic country dish)
Bake 1 hour.
Serve with heated maple syrup, if desired.
Enjoy! 🙂

This sounds quick and easy – and I do love corn pudding.

For years I looked for this recipe and then one day, my friend brought it to a potluck-style lunch and I told her I wanted/needed/craved this recipe! She was kind enough to share it with me. 🙂
This sounds like such a yummy dish! 🙂
It’s simple and quick.
This looks simple and amazingly good!
Try it! I’ve even made it ahead and frozen it… worked great.
Yum! And, yes, absolutely, maple syrup is desired!
Ha! I agree! Honey is good, too.
My family loves this. I have been making it for many years. Good old fashion comfort food.
It sure is. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Sounds deliciously old-fashioned 😉 I must find a corn muffin recipe now to make it (we don’t have Jiffy here).
Any corn muffin mix will do.
Sorry, what I really meant is that we don’t have Jiffy or any other corn muffin mix here. Do you think corn cake mix would work?
I love corn casserole!
If you’ve never tried it with honey or maple syrup… you should 🙂
Sounds delicious!
It is… I like it because it’s moist – cornbread is good, but a little too dry for me. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Moist is always good! 🙂
This looks awesome Daisy– perfect with a big baked ham. and bar-b-que. Wish I could sit down at your table for a plateful… thanks.
It reminds me of my childhood – my mom used to make something similar. It looks delicious,.
