I went to the hardware store to get something we needed for the house. When I returned I found that my husband had been busy…
I walked in… and was pretty much speechless…he was smiling so big, happy because he knew I (eventually) wanted to work on the kitchen…
I hugged him, thanked him, and then we both sat down and said, “Now what?!”
And so, the fun begins. I’ll show you (soon) some pictures of what we’ve been up to and how things are coming.
Eagerly counting the days until the kitchen is once again in working order,
Daisy
Oh, this is so hard to look at! EEK! But it had to be done and you’ll certainly get focused now because you won’t want to have to live with that any longer than necessary!
You’re right, of course, …I have to make a conscious effort not to whine about how tired I am from packing, moving, … We will soon have a finished kitchen and then it will be worth it. Right??
Absolutely!
So what did you bring from the hardware store?
Hahahahahahahaha!! I actually cannot remember!
I’ll be anxious to see what you do with the kitchen.
We’ve chosen the cabinets and counter tops, hoping everything will look nice. One thing for sure… It’ll be better than what was there before! (I hope!)
Hahaha. Fast food for sure these days!
🙂
Yes… I can’t wait to cook a meal at home again. My stomach does not react happily to fast food…
Yes. We got very tired of pizza–imagine that!
It will be fun to see the after pictures! 🙂
I’m excited for you! It’s hard work, but when a room is done, the feeling you get as you stand back and look at what you’ve created is awesome. Can’t wait to see what’s next in your progress . . . .
Oh my! Next time are you going to send your husband to the hardware store while you stay home? :). I just know it is going to be so beautiful and warm and inviting when you get done . . .just like you!
Looking forward to seeing photos of your redo! I’m sure it will be wonderful!
Wow!! What a guy! It’s looking like big progress from here! Can’t wait to see what comes next. Where are you living???
Holy cats! We ARE long lost sisters! Meanwhile back in MN, we gutted our upstairs and have been using our camper as our tongue-in-cheek summer kitchen and sleeping quarters. This of course was a great plan until the temperature at night dipped down in the 40’s. We are almost done completely at which point, I will post a before and after blog. Peace be with you on this remodel.
Thanks, Kandy. We actually had to work on the house about two weeks before we were able to move in, and we are still working on it… probably will continue to do so for a while, one room at a time. It needs some TLC.
Wow. Does this ever look familiar. You’ll be so glad you did it when you’re done. My husband loves taking things apart, and I love taking the after pictures.
