Apples were on sale again…
I just had to make a pie.
The filling is just apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter.
It turns into the most delicious sweet and tender filling.
The crust gave me a little trouble this time…
But since I wasn’t going for perfect….
I was ok with it.
The smell of apple pie baking in the oven. . .
You just can’t hardly wait for the pie to be done . . .
. . . So you can take it out and have a piece.
Enjoy the apples while they’re in season!

My mouth is watering – I can smell that pie from here! MMMmmmmmm!!!!
It’s a nice warm dessert on a cold day 🙂
Hi Daisy, that looks so good…
Thanks! 🙂
YUM! I love the rustic look of that crust…makes the pie even more luscious looking! No comparison to store-bought!
You’re right… sometimes I don’t want to spend the extra time to bake a pie, but once I eat that first bite, I’m so glad I did!
Looks delicious, I think you just gave me an idea of what I am going to make today! 🙂
Your house will smell wonderful! …and the pie will be great, too 🙂
Oh it sure does! 🙂 It’s made, but we haven’t dug into it yet…first dinner, and then dessert! I can’t wait!
That’s funny – when I saw the picture I thought, “There’s a perfect apple pie.”
Aw, thanks, Lillian! That means a lot coming from you 🙂
Hey Daisy– I agree with all the comments so far– that pie looks amazing– so tall and juicy and apple-y!! That is some real honest to goodness baking. I haven’t tried a pie for a long time, but you’re nudging me to it…
It’s actually “therapeutic” for me, the whole process of peeling the apples, slicing them, making the dough, rolling it out… My favorite has to be stirring in the spices – they smell so good. And, of course, eating the pie is fun, too. 🙂
And sharing it with someone else who appreciates a magnificent apple pie!!
My aunt always made the worst-looking and best-tasting pie crusts! She knew that too much handling made them tough so she didn’t care what they looked like. Yours makes me want to drool . . .
Oolala! You really know how to get us drooling! One of my daughter’s favorite things is to go pick apples and come home and bake a pie or two. 🙂 Thanks for blessing us!
Oh! who doesn’t like a good and tasty apple pie! 🙂 Yummy!
