I found a new Farmer’s Market not too far from where I live…
The produce is so fresh and such a great variety!
These radishes are delicious. I put them in salads,
but most of the time I just eat them raw as a snack.
Is that strange??
Huge tomatoes, so good!
I couldn’t believe how sweet the grapes were!!
The peppers were 2 for $1
I roast them in the oven and put them in salsas
or to flavor soups.
Delicious!!
Cilantro, parsley, greens… big bunches
This Farmer’s Market also has a “Flea Market” section.
I bought hibiscus, azalea, and each one was only $6.
My favorite buy was the Orchids!
I got four different kinds and they were each $3!!!
They make great Christmas gifts.
I wanted to keep them, but then I figured
I could just get some more after Christmas.
Have a wonderful weekend, everybody!
Daisy
Lucky you! Great looking veggies & plants 🙂
Yes, I wish I’d bought some more…I’m already running out… 🙂
Oh, how I would love your farmer’s market. Ours here in southwest Ohio have been closed since the last of October. I look forward to their return in late May. Beautiful pictures.
Thank you! Wish you could go – there is so much to see. I love walking through the Flea Market section…you never know what bargains you’re going to find!
Whenever I slice radishes for salads two or three never make it into the salad. The crunch and that taste I cannot describe is exquisite!
Yes! And sometimes they’re hot (spicy) and that makes it even better!
I too am envious of your fresh veggies and flowers. But I’m not complaining. It’s been very mild here all autumn.
My grandpa used to eat radish sandwiches with homemade bread, butter and salt. He lived to be 98! 🙂
Haha!! I guess I’ll keep on eating them!!
I would love to live near that Farmer’s Market!!!
You would love it! I’ve only been twice but now that the weather is going to be cooler, it’ll be even nicer.
Looks like summer, everything is so fresh and beautiful.
It’s been feeling like summer, too. Record highs. But tonight we’re expecting a cold front! Yay!!
Yes here too it is in the 30’s right now, finally. But it’s going to get warm again for christmas!
Wow–those flowers are spectacular! And, no, I don’t think it’s strange at all to snack on fresh radishes!
Beautiful beautiful post and finds at the Farmer’s Market!!! I love the idea of the orchids as gifts! And . .I eat radishes for snacks too. haha! God bless you always!
Thanks you! Blessings to you!!
Hi Daisy–such great produce at this time of year!! Love the orchids!! How can they be so cheap?! (I mean affordable!!) So fun to see all your brought home– happy cooking!
Wow, I’m impressed at the wide variety of items that are available at the farmer’s market. The one near me is nice–but has a limited range of produce this time of year.
What wonderful produce and plants you found at the Farmer’s Market! Our markets close from October to April…I really miss not having them!
