A border for the Ocean Waves Quilt

I’ve been away a lot lately and I’ve also had computer problems, so those two things have kept me from updating my blog. I’m hoping to fix the computer problem this week (but I’ve thought that before and nothing happened!) 😁

I’ve been posting a lot on Instagram because it’s so easy to do from my phone and I can send it from anywhere. So I’m going to try to post as often as I do on my IG account.

I am working on this Ocean Waves Quilt, which is one of those Christmas gifts that I’m working on throughout the year. I’m wondering what kind of border to put on it… I’ve got a few options I’m thinking about, but I really want to finish it by the end of next week and then begin the hand-quilting.

So, if you have any suggestions or ideas, I’d really appreciate it! 😊

That’s such a cool and calming quilt. I’d put a double border, thin blue on the inside and then a couple of inches of white on the outside. I think it would frame your quilt and set off the design. Welcome back 🙂

  That does sound nice! I’ve been drawing some different options on graph paper to see what might look best. I’ll share next week what the quilt looks like with the new border.

Really like this quilt. Have you completed it yet? Would love to see a finished photo. Can you tell me where you purchased the pattern please? I am in Australia so would need to purchase it as a digital pattern.
